Software developer SoftInform headquartered in Minsk received investments from a Russian developer —  owner of an offshore company Amust Software, headquartered in St. Petersburg. The company was originally the founder of Aelita Software, which was later overtaken by an American Quest Software — the latter thus getting the developing center in the Russian “northern capital”. The main peculiarity of the deal is that SoftInform, specialized in search software, could very well complement the Amust line, which works in the field of home user & small business software.

Amust Software opened an office in St. Petersburg in the spring of last year and now has up to 100 employees. The developer’s main goal is to promote it’s latest developments on the international market, that is software for home users & small business in two fields: “Operation system & PC security management” and “Direct communication applications (P2P communication)”. Amust Software’s first products were programs for PC optimization & speeding up as well as for improving the level of information security.  Amust Software’s first markets were USA & Europe.

20th of January SoftInform Company has released new version of full text search program SearchInform 1.8.02. New version has a number of useful changes, in particular has been made support of .ISO files, as well as new feature to .CSS files in native format.
