Here is an example: when processing a one-word query it doesn’t make much difference whether the query will be processed with the speed of 0,1 sec. or 0,001 sec., since the user won’t notice the difference, on the other hand if you take a middle-size document, containing around 2000 unique words, the search with proper consideration of stemming (all stems of all words) and thesaurus (synonyms of all the words) and the results, if key word search is used, might take up to half an our or more (which is unacceptable to the user).
