«Mini-Internet» with search ability

Why now? Well, first of all the need to reconsider the traditional approach to the search process. Horizontal scattered search has been wasting time and nerves of both corporate & home users for ages now.  Yet the moment of no return has come when a vertical personified search that solves the problems of an individual user rather than provides you with a mess of information is to be introduced. SoftInform representatives spoke about taking their own place in the market – the place of organizing a high-relevancy & narrowly specialized information search. 

Second of all, to enter the market with a high-quality product you need to have that quality backed up by technologies that would make the company stand out among other search software producers. To improve the quality of search while minimizing the time and costs spent by the user, a totally new and complex software needs to be created. According to the SoftInform representatives, they have already reached that required standard.

Third, SoftInform has encountered a new strategic investor. AMUST Software specialists, on their side, have been studying the growingly invested into market of search technology for over a year. The choice of SoftInform was not accidental: its product has already received certain popularity among the end-users, though so far mostly in the corporate surroundings (SearchInform software has already been integrated into the products of such companies as Hummingbird, “Lotsia Soft”, as well as into the HelpDesk system of IPI company). Besides, the stakes were put on the domestic product.

20th of January SoftInform Company has released new version of full text search program SearchInform 1.8.02. New version has a number of useful changes, in particular has been made support of .ISO files, as well as new feature to .CSS files in native format.

The SoftInform Company announces the release of a new version of its full text information search system SearchInform 1.7 and a price reduction for SearchInform Desktop Standard 1.7 by almost one half. Starting from November 1, the standard version of SearchInform Desktop will cost just $29.95.
