Managing indexes

Managing indexes with the help of Index Manager is very simple and intuitively comprehensible.



On selecting some index in the "Registered indexes" list, the "Index Information" field is dispalyed on the right with a short statistics summary on this index. That is why the results are also similar - a higher speed of searching for information due to streamlining the data, scattered in different clusters. To increase the searching speed, it is recommended to carry out defragmentation once in a while.
"Start analysing" analysis is carried out to reveal the duplicate documents.

The buttons and in the list of indexes allow to switch places of the indexes names by correspondingly lifting them up or putting down.

Pressing the button displays a window that allows to change the settings of the selected index. All the settings represented there are identical to those which were defined at the stage of creating a new index (view the "Creating indexes" paragraph). Moreover, to get access to the index options you should double-click it in the "Registered indexes list".
The button allows to physically delete the index from the hard drive, which means that it will be impossible to recover it. Use this button with particular care to avoid deleting a necessary index by chance!
