Adding banners to the program blacklist A blacklist consists of the URL segments referring to the sites that generate unwanted banner ads. AdsCleaner is capable of identifying and suppressing such ads by utilizing this list's data. Banners can be conveniently blacklisted on-the-fly, right while surfing the web. To add an annoying banner to the program blacklist, perform the following steps: 1.   While in the browser window, hover your mouse over the banner you wish to blacklist or select a page area containing a number of banners. 2.   From the program's context menu, choose the Add banner to AdsCleaner command. This will display the Add URLs to ads stopper list window. 3.   Specify the sources for the unwanted banner ads you want to add to the blacklist. To do so, select the banners in the list one-by-one and edit the URL paths when necessary using the Edit field. To mark a specific banner for adding it to the program blacklist, simply enable the corresponding banner URL checkbox. To get help on the window elements, click Help. 4.   Click the Add button. This will add the new ads stopper settings to the blacklist. Tip: the % character in the banner image URL can stand for "any character". We get accustomed very quickly to the surrounding. Spending much time in the Internet, one can with certainty affirm: we live in the world of advertising. However, it’s quite hard to get used to it. The point is that the advertising is aimed to attract attention. Being guided by this principle, ads makers invent progressively newer and newer kinds of irritants to make the audience react. The first thing that caught my eye at launching the application was its clumsy design and awkward interface. Numerous tabs, unnecessary pictures and explanation notes contrasted with the set of options far from being smart.
