When you launch the program, it can operate in either of the two modes: the Active or Sleep mode.
Active mode
The Active mode is the standard operating mode. While in this mode, AdsCleaner enbles you to access all its features and automatically hyperlinks the web-links you click while surfing the web.
You can easily tell if AdsCleaner is in the Active mode by taking a look at the Internet Explorer toolbar. When AdsCleaner is operating in the Active mode, the  button is pressed and all the other buttons in the toolbar are active.
Sleep mode
The Sleep mode does differ from the Active Mode in a number of ways:
In the first place, while AdsCleaner is in this mode, Internet Explorer is completely devoid of the program functionality. In other words, Internet Explorer continues operating with the following features disabled:
· links highlighting and displaying pop-up hints.
· adding and displaying the user comments for the web-pages viewed.
Moreover, in the Sleep Mode the following important program features are temporarily disabled:
· automatically storing web-links as you navigate through them (the auto-capture feature is also disabled)
· pop-up killer and ads stopper - so the banner advertisements and pop-up windows will be visible once more.
You can easily tell if AdsCleaner is in the Sleep mode by taking a look at the Internet Explorer toolbar.
While in the Sleep Mode the  button in the Internet Explorer toolbar is not pressed and all the other bar buttons are dim.
SWITCHING BETWEEN THE ACTIVE AND SLEEP OPERATING MODES
To switch to the Active mode:
· right-click the quick launch program icon in the system tray and check the AdsCleaner activated option.
· Alternatively, click the  button in the Internet Explorer toolbar.
· You can also click the  button to display the system settings window and tick the AdsCleaner activated checkbox.
To switch to the Sleep Mode, just perform the same actions in their reverse order.
