AdsCleaner 4.1
Block those bothersome adverts when using Internet Explorer

If you use Internet Explorer and install AdsCleaner and you can say goodbye to adverts, whether they be pop-ups, banner ads or those really annoying interstitials.
Once installed, an AdsCleaner icon sits in the System Tray from where its various elements (Popup Killer, Ads Stopper) can be started and stopped.
Much more in-depth control is achieved using the toolbar that gets added to Internet Explorer. This displays information such as the number and size of adverts blocked, and provides access to the program's numerous functions.
Using this toolbar it is possible to take a screen grab of the current web page, activate Flash Killer (for blocking Macromedia Flash content), block images and access AdsCleaner's settings.
AdsCleaner is also an effective privacy cleaner, with a button for cleaning your cache, cookies, history, typed URLs and recent URLs.
New in version 4 is the ability to send details of any ads that don't get blocked to the manufacturer so that they will be in future.
Verdict
An effective solution that will speed up your surfing, if using a dial-up connection.
