Spam Blockers application settings

The Settings window can be accessed in several ways:

·	Pressing the button in the task bar.

·	Selecting "Options" - "Settings" in the Spam Blockers main menu.

·	Pressing F12 hotkey.

The following window will emerge:



For on-going check-up of your accounts, select option Start program at Windows start-up, so you won't have to launch Spam Blocker manually every time you need it.

Minimize program to tray at start-up - as soon as the anti spam program is launched, it will start working in background mode (only its icon will be displayed in the system tray).

Auto check for updates - the spam filtering program will automatically check for updates of the system lists at indicated intervals.

Auto download updates from server - when system lists updates are detected, Spam BLocker will automatically download the updates without additional requests. Enabled only when item Auto check for updates is selected.

Apply updates without user check - when updates are detected and downloaded, the application will be able to apply them on its own. In this case this item has to be enabled. It is available only when items Auto check for updates, Auto download updates from server are enabled.

To prevent bulky log files, you can limit their size by indicating the maximum number of days during which the logs will be stored. As soon as the logs become older, the corresponding records in the log files will be deleted. This is done with the help of item Delete event and mail logs older than X days.

Show warning in case of restricted functionality - the anti spam program will display the warning every time it detects a malfunction in processing mailboxes that is in most cases caused by incorrect settings or absence of Internet connection.

Spam Blocker – remote spam filter

At present there is quite an impressive number of various anti spam filters to protect your mailbox from unwanted correspondence. You can, for instance, utilize the spam filtering filters embedded in the mail servers or clients. But the anti spam filters on the server block only a fraction of spam.
